About Me
Hi, I’m Michelle.
I graduated with my Master’s degree in existential-phenomenological psychology from Seattle University in 2001. Since then, I have continued to study intensively in the area of post-Freudian British object relations, attachment theory, developmental psychology, and miscellaneous in-depth psychologies. I am greatly interested in learning how we are able to develop capacities for emotional openness and psychic growth, and just what that means, anyway.
I also have a master’s degree in English literature from the University of Kansas and an undergraduate degree in theology. I feel that these humanistic studies have greatly enhanced and deepened my understanding and feeling for what it means to be a human being.
Licensure:
I am a licensed mental health counselor in the state of Washington, which means that I fulfilled the requirement for post-graduate hours working with patients, hours in clinical supervision, and passed the national clinical exam. Continued education is required of Washington mental health counselors in order to keep their licenses current.
